WSJ has posted a comprehensive review of Windows 7, Microsoft’s latest offering of Windows. If you didn’t know already, the official launch is on 10/22/2009 and my first laptop is going to come bundled with it! (Psst. it will likely be a HP dv6t or a Dell Studio)
I’m going with the Home Premium version, check out the comparison and pick yours!
PS: As if news of Windows 7 isn’t good enough, there’s news of Windows 8 already!

I always get a bit scared of new releases like this.. questions run through my head like … will my existing software all run on it OK? How many bugs does it have?? How any security flaws? Makes me nervous.. I must say! Do let us know ho wyou get on with the latest version!
Thanks for the sharing the review it is really comprehensive.
Karthick, the review seems to be apprehensive. I got my laptop couple of months back and I had an offer then. If i opted for a vista operating system I get a free upgrade to windows 7 when it is released. I reluctantly chose it then, but now after reading the WSJ review I feel glad that I did it. Thanks man!
Hi,
I`m a XP user, but i`ll give a try on W7.
Can we put both (on dual boot)?
Thanks
Thanks for this review. Now I am using the Vista Business. I wanna try the Window 7. But I don’t want to release my Vista. I want to install both Vista and Window 7. Can I do like that or not? If I can how should I do ?
I will wait for some time for its market response then will decide what to do?
I`m not waiting from Win 7 to be stable, so better use my verified XP)
I cant wait to get my hands on my new HP mini 311 netbook pre-installed with windows 7.
windows 7 is good.. but i prefer my old windows XP.. after installation windows 7 takes 16GB of your hard disk space..This is not good at all..
I like what you have written, your style is easy to read and follow. Have bookmarked your blog for future reference, Hoping to read more in the future.
I currently own a Windows 7 and i think it is better than Winows
Vista. Windows 7 has a lot more features added to it, it has really easy way to connect to internet.
Windows 7 is definitely better than vista..but there is not much difference in the shell side and also with the erroneous environment. I got the blue screen of death twice.. Might be some hardware issues. My windows 7 version was also pre installed with the new laptop i bought.

I`ve changed from Vista to 7, and its best … no bugs so far.
I’m pretty much impressed with the stability of Windows 7. It is better than windows Vista which hogs my memory and cpu.`”~
I am bit scared about such launching. Now I have to teach again to my employees about new version of windows.
But the good news this that surely we will get something advance than earlier.

Thanks for the post, it was very informative. I really like Windows 7 – it took a bit of getting used to, but thankfully it is far superior to Vista!
I’m an old school user, I like Win XP. Not sure if Win 7 is far better that XP but it’s definitely better than Vista.
I prefer Professional Edition, even though I’m a home user, but the system is more stable in this version. In any case W& is much better than Vista. It is a pity that they stop the release of Xps. It used to be a good OS.
